The Honda Pilot is a crossover compact SUV model. The first Pilot SUV was built in te year 2002 as a model for the 2003 period. In the year 2006, these Honda trucks received a new rear and front fascia, an interior which was redesigned as well as many other safety features that were available as standard features.
The second generation of this crossover SUV came out by late 2008 as a 2009 year model. This SUV was designed so as to fulfill the American need for a large SUV which had a third row seating. Before the Pilot model was introduced, there was only one crossover compact SUV model from Honda, the CR-V and a Honda Passport (Isuzu Rodeo which was rebadged) a truck which was a quick fix for the company as they refined the competition of the refined compact crossovers and SUV’s.
